DMF is a leading supplier and installer of premium workshop and garage equipment. Due to continued growth and high demand for our products, we are expanding our field engineering team. We take pride in delivering first\-class installation and commissioning services to commercial vehicle workshops, independent garages, and fleet operators.

The Role

We are seeking a skilled Garage Equipment Installation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will travel to customer sites to install, test, and commission a wide range of premium automotive workshop equipment. You will work both independently and alongside an experienced team to ensure workshops are set up safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and commission garage equipment, including vehicle lifts, brake testers, wheel balancers, tyre changers, and compressed air systems.

  • Conduct final safety checks and calibration to ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Perform basic electrical and mechanical fault\-finding during the setup process.

  • Hand over completed installations to customers, providing brief demonstrations where necessary.

  • Maintain accurate digital paperwork via the company system.
What We Are Looking For
  • Experience: Strong electro\-mechanical background with experience in installing or maintaining heavy machinery, plant equipment, hydraulics, or pneumatics. (Experience specifically with garage equipment or a background as an HGV/Auto Technician is highly desirable).

  • Skills: Solid problem\-solving abilities and a comfortable working knowledge of hand/power tools.

  • Licences: A valid, full UK driving licence is essential. An IPAF or forklift licence is a plus.

  • Attitude: A self\-motivated team player with excellent customer\-facing communication skills and a commitment to high safety standards.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel across the regional territory and occasionally work overtime or stay overnight when required.
