Functional Consultant Dynamics 365 CE (Sales/Marketing)

As a Functional Consultant Dynamics 365 CE, you contribute to the continuity, development, and optimal use of the Dynamics 365 platform with a focus on Sales. You help translate business needs into clear functional designs, configurations, and user\-friendly solutions. Working with an international team, you support users across multiple countries, with a focus on sales, data quality, adoption, scalability, security, and compliance. You are comfortable working independently on defined topics and know when to involve senior colleagues for complex decisions. Knowledge of Marketing (Customer Insights), Microsoft Copilot and its practical application within Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform is a plus. Key responsibilities* Support the functional design, configuration, and optimization of Dynamics 365 CE solutions, with a focus on Sales and preferably knowledge of Marketing (Customer Insights);

• Translate business requirements into clear functional designs and specifications;


• Contribute to functional impact analyses for changes and releases, including dependencies, risks, and adoption implications;


• Support testing (including UAT) and go\-live activities;


• Support business stakeholders, key users, and end users with guidance, training, and clear communication;


• Create and maintain functional documentation, user instructions, and test scenarios;


• Ensure alignment with enterprise standards, security, and compliance;


• Continuously improve processes and applications.

Typical activities* Supporting functional design, configuration, solution reviews, and documentation;

• Configuring and testing Dynamics 365 CE solutions under agreed standards;


• Facilitating or co\-facilitating workshops with business stakeholders and key users;


• Contributing to impact analysis, releases, and functional governance activities.

Do you have what it takes?:
We are looking for a strong communicator who is analytical, structured, pragmatic, and solution\-oriented, with a clear focus on delivering practical business value. In addition, we are looking for someone with the following background: Required* Bachelor\-level professional and intellectual ability;

• Minimum 3–5 years’ relevant experience as a Functional Consultant Dynamics 365 CE;


• Good knowledge of Dataverse (data model, security, integrations);


• Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps);


• Understanding of core business processes (Sales, Service, Customer Data);


• Experience working in complex or international environments is preferred;


• Good stakeholder\-management, analytical, facilitation, and documentation skills;


• Fluent in English (spoken and written);


• Based in the Netherlands with the right to work;


• Experience participating in workshops, preparing solution recommendations, and communicating with stakeholders;


• Ability to work independently on defined topics and actively ask for guidance on complex or strategic decisions.

Nice to have* Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot, preferably Copilot for Dynamics 365 and/or Copilot Studio, including relevant governance, security, and adoption considerations;

• Experience identifying and translating AI/Copilot use cases into measurable business value;


• Integration experience with APIs, Azure Logic Apps, and Service Bus;


• Basic Dataverse/SQL query knowledge (FetchXML, Web API);


• Agile and/or Azure DevOps experience;


• Experience in regulated or compliance‑driven environments.
