Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Function Manager to oversee and coordinate events and functions within our organisation.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational and communication skills, with a background in hospitality, restaurant, or hotel management.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team, enhance guest experiences, and contribute to the success of our events.
The Function Manager will be responsible for ensuring seamless execution of functions, maximising upselling opportunities, and maintaining high standards of guest service.
Duties
- Plan, organise, and oversee all aspects of functions and events, ensuring they run smoothly from start to finish
- Lead and supervise staff to deliver exceptional guest services aligned with organisational standards
- Coordinate with clients to understand their requirements and customise event arrangements accordingly
- Manage the setup and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring cleanliness and organisation throughout
- Upsell additional services or products to maximise revenue during events
- Monitor event timelines and ensure all activities adhere to schedules
- Handle guest enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction
- Collaborate with other departments such as catering, housekeeping, and technical teams for seamless event execution
- Maintain detailed records of bookings, client preferences, and feedback for continuous improvement
- Proven experience in hospitality, restaurant management, hotel operations or similar roles involving event organisation
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, guests, and team members effectively
- Demonstrated ability in upselling and increasing revenue opportunities during functions
- Effective time management skills to ensure all aspects of events are completed on schedule
- Experience in fundraising or guest services is advantageous
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- A proactive attitude with strong leadership qualities and team management capabilities
Pay: Up to £34,000\.00 per year
