Key Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and complex needs).
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff.
- Delivering tailored support to help pupils engage in learning and develop essential skills.
- Assisting with behaviour support in line with school policies.
- Creating a positive, safe, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Experience working with children with SEN (school-based experience is desirable but not essential).
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and the wellbeing of children.
- A willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a specialist school setting.
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- SEN-specific training (e.g., Autism Awareness, Team Teach, Makaton)
