Full time Personal Care Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in home care or care homes and possess the ability to develop and follow care plans tailored to each client's unique needs. This role requires effective communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as the ability to drive to various locations as needed. This job comes with some admin duties basic computer skills are essential.

Duties

• Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing


• Help with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety and comfort


• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary


• Administer medication as per care plans and monitor client health


• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition


• Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well\-being


• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals


• Accompanying clients to appointments or social outings as required


• Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients at all times


• Assisting with a general housekeeping

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written


• Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred


• Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans


• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and their families


• Basic IT skills for documentation and record keeping


• A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients


• A caring attitude with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals in your care
