We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Full\-Time Manager to lead the Selfridges Birmingham Dessert Cart team. Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the dessert cart team, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, and customer service


• Oversee daily operations, including food production, serving, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in line with food safety regulations


• Manage team schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and motivate staff to achieve performance goals


• Ensure all food handling and preparation meet quality standards and comply with health and safety guidelines


• Provide training and mentorship to team members in culinary techniques, hospitality best practices, and customer engagement


• Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a positive shopping experience for all guests


• Collaborate with suppliers and inventory management to maintain stock levels of ingredients and supplies

Qualifications

• Proven supervising or team management experience within a restaurant, hospitality, or retail environment


• Strong background in food preparation, cooking, bartending, or culinary arts


• Experience in food safety protocols and food production processes


• Knowledge of hospitality standards including serving techniques and customer service excellence


• Leadership skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team in a fast\-paced setting


• Familiarity with kitchen operations, hotel or restaurant experience is highly desirable


• Additional skills such as barista experience or bartending are advantageous but not essential
