Full time live in carer

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full\-Time Live\-In Carer to provide high\-quality support and assistance to an elderly couple, one of which is living with Alzheimer's. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing quality of life for the couple by delivering personalised care and assistance within their home.

About the Role

Provide 24‑hour support, living in during your working days and be available for assistance both day and night, with reasonable rest periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personalised care in accordance with individual care plans, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, personal hygiene and mobility.


• Support with medication management and health monitoring as required.


• Assist with meal preparation and light domestic tasks to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.


• Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well\-being.


• Maintain accurate records of care provided.


• Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care delivery.


• Ensure the safety of clients at all times by recognising potential hazards and responding appropriately.

Working Pattern

• 6 weeks on / 1 week off.


• Live‑in with odd provided.


• Daily breaks.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting


• Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with the clients and their family.


• Ability to follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs.


• Valid driving licence is advantageous for supporting clients with outings or appointments.


• Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills to build a trusting relationship.


• Organised and reliable with a proactive approach to problem\-solving and decision\-making. This role offers a rewarding opportunity for an individual committed to making a positive difference.
