Full-Time Health and Safety Manager

The Fitzgerald Group are hiring a full\-time multi\-site Health and Safety manager to lead health, safety, and environmental initiatives across all hospitality venues.

About The Role

• Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate potential risks within the workplace.


• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and standards.


• Training: Develop and deliver health and safety training programs for staff.


• Incident Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations of any health and safety incidents and implement corrective actions.


• Performance Monitoring: Regularly review and analyse health and safety performance metrics.


• Audit: Conduct regular health and safety audits and inspections.


• Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on health and safety performance and incidents.

• Education: Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent


• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably within the hospitality industry.


• Skills: Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide authoritative advice on health and safety management issues.


• Certifications: Valid HACCP/Level 4 Food Safety Management or equivalent.

• Attention to Detail: Meticulous in ensuring all health and safety protocols are followed.


• Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a team to uphold high health and safety standards.


• Problem\-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve health and safety issues.


• Proactive: Ability to anticipate potential risks and implement preventive measures.

• Work Environment: This role involves working closely with the Managing Director, General Managers, and Executive Chefs to ensure a safe and compliant environment.


• Travel: Will require travel to various hospitality venues across the region.

• Valid HACCP / Level 4 Food Safety Management essential


• Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent


• 5 years of experience in a health and safety role
