Full-stack software engineer
About the role
We're building the digital infrastructure that connects modern manufacturing companies with top\-tier factories across the globe. As one of the first senior engineers joining a small, hands\-on team, you'll have a direct impact on architecture decisions, product direction, and how we scale a complex marketplace platform.
You'll work day\-to\-day with our hands\-on CTO and a lead\-level engineer \- meaning you need to be comfortable owning problems end\-to\-end, from data model to deployment, without a large team to hand things off to.
If you have strong TypeScript instincts, care about building systems that are both correct and maintainable, and are energised (not intimidated) by the full stack \- we'd love to talk.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain full\-stack features using Next.js, React, and TypeScript \- from server components to client\-side interactions
- Design and query a PostgreSQL database via Prisma, with an eye for performance and data integrity
- Style UIs with TailwindCSS, working closely with design intent rather than just implementing specs
- Write meaningful tests \- unit, integration, and end\-to\-end where it counts
- Build and maintain infrastructure across our hybrid cloud setup (AWS, Hetzner bare metal, Cloudflare) using an IaC approach
- Contribute to architectural decisions, including our event\-driven and microservices patterns
- Deploy and operate services \- you'll own what you ship
- 4\+ years of professional experience with a meaningful portion in full\-stack or senior roles
- Strong command of TypeScript and React, including Next.js in production
- Solid backend fundamentals \- you're equally comfortable in a Prisma schema and a complex SQL query
- Experience with PostgreSQL in a production environment
- Comfort working across the stack as a generalist \- you don't wait for someone else to own the infrastructure or the data model
- Hands\-on experience with Docker and container\-based deployments
- Familiarity with IaC tooling (Terraform) and cloud environments, particularly AWS
- Exposure to event\-driven architectures or microservices patterns is a plus
- Familiarity with state management approaches (Redux Toolkit, Tanstack Query, Zustand)
- Based in the Netherlands \- this is a hybrid role with in\-person collaboration expected intially
- Hybrid role based in the Netherlands, with flexible day\-to\-day working arrangements
- MacBook Pro provided
- Learning budget to support your professional growth
- 20 days paid leave plus Dutch public holidays
- Discretionary bonus potential
- A small, senior team \- no bureaucracy, high ownership, real impact on the product
- Initial call
- Technical interview — a 45\-minute call where we walk through a real technical problem together to understand how you think and reason
- Final call
