Job description
Sciensano’s IT Development Department is looking for a full\-stack Drupal developer to strengthen its web team.
As a Drupal developer, you will have the following responsibilities:
- participate in the design of technical architectures;
- estimate development tasks (SCRUM);
- develop high\-performance websites and forms that meet quality requirements and client needs;
- manage the entire project development lifecycle, from technical analysis through application maintenance;
- help implement best practices and standards;
- automate as many recurring processes and tasks as possible (scripting, automation tools, DevOps tools);
- ensure IT security and the interoperability of developments.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, software development, or a related field.
Professional Experience: 2 years of relevant experience in full\-stack web development, ideally with Drupal; an experience in backend/frontend development, DevOps, automation, or Agile/Scrum environments is a plus.
Passionate about IT, you regularly keep up to date with technological developments
Excellent knowledge of : the Drupal 10/11 platform (configuration, backend and frontend development, troubleshooting); PHP development; Ubuntu, Windows 11, and MySQL; HTML, CSS, and Vue.js; REST APIs; Drush, Composer, and Git
Knowledge of the following is considered a plus: Laravel; MS Azure DevOps; Kubernetes, Docker; SOLR indexing and search platform; SCRUM framework
General Skills: teamwork skills; organizational skills and ability to work independently; rigorous and detail\-oriented; ability to meet deadlines;
Languages : good written and spoken proficiency in English; good written and spoken proficiency in French r Dutch
