<p><strong>We are looking for Engineers to join us: </strong></p>
<p>At FareHarbor, a Booking Holding Company, we’re evolving our frontend platform to enable faster, more reliable product development across a complex and growing ecosystem.</p>
<p>As a <strong>Frontend Platform Engineer</strong>, you will work at the intersection of platform and product engineering, helping teams deliver features while modernizing our frontend architecture. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers across teams, contribute shared solutions, improve developer experience, and guide the adoption of modern frontend practices.</p>
<p>This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving practical engineering problems, supporting product teams, and improving frontend systems in a large, evolving codebase.</p>
<p><strong>What you’ll do here:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Partner with product teams to design and deliver frontend solutions that align with platform standards and long-term architecture.</li>
<li>Drive incremental migration and modernization efforts within a large monolithic codebase.</li>
<li>Identify shared problems across teams and develop scalable abstractions, utilities, and patterns.</li>
<li>Improve developer experience through better tooling, documentation, and workflows.</li>
<li>Contribute to and influence frontend architecture decisions, balancing immediate product needs with long term platform health.</li>
<li>Collaborate with cross functional teams including design, backend, and product to support consistent, accessible, and maintainable frontend experiences.</li>
<li>Help define and promote best practices in performance, testing, accessibility, and code organization.</li>
<li>Act as a technical partner and consultant for frontend development across multiple teams.</li>
<li>Leverage AI enabled tools and workflows thoughtfully to improve productivity, implementation quality, and problem solving while maintaining strong engineering judgment and standards.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>3+ years of experience</strong> working with large-scale production codebases and mission-critical systems.</li>
<li>Strong experience with modern frontend frameworks like <strong>Vue</strong> (or React, Angular).</li>
<li>Solid understanding of <strong>JavaScript (ES6+)</strong>, HTML5, CSS3, and <strong>browser fundamentals</strong>.</li>
<li>Experience working in <strong>complex frontend architectures</strong>, and a strong interest in navigating and improving <strong>legacy or monolithic systems</strong>.</li>
<li>Experience with, or interest in, <strong>incrementally modernizing codebases</strong> through migrations, refactors, and adoption of improved patterns.</li>
<li>Strong grasp of frontend architecture and <strong>design patterns</strong> for scalability and maintainability.</li>
<li>Familiarity with <strong>build tools</strong> and <strong>CI/CD practices</strong> such as Webpack, Vite, or similar tooling.</li>
<li>Strong <strong>communication and collaboration skills</strong>, with the ability to work effectively across teams and stakeholders.</li>
<li>A <strong>pragmatic mindset</strong> and the ability to balance technical quality with product delivery needs.</li>
<li>Familiarity with <strong>AI enabled development tools</strong> and openness to using new technologies to improve engineering workflows, collaboration, and product delivery.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Nice to Have:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Familiarity with frontend platform work such as shared tooling, developer workflows, or internal frameworks.</li>
<li>Experience improving developer experience through automation, local development tooling and documentation.</li>
<li>Experience contributing to or adopting a design system and shared component libraries.</li>
</ul>
<p><em>This position is open to candidates located in Europe who are willing to relocate to the Netherlands.</em></p>
