Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Front of House Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy Golf Club bar. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food and beverage service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness, and creating an inviting atmosphere for patrons. The successful applicant will have prior experience in a hospitality environment, with a background in supervising teams and managing bar operations effectively. Previous experience of working in a Golf Club environment would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of bar staff, ensuring smooth service delivery.
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and monitor inventory to minimise waste.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks, and motivate team members to achieve operational goals.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain a positive environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff on food production and menu planning when necessary.
- Implement training programmes for new team members and ongoing development for existing staff.
- Maintain a welcoming atmosphere that promotes hospitality, teamwork, and professionalism.
- Proven experience in supervising teams within a hospitality setting.
- Strong background in food safety standards.
- Experience with serving beverages and understanding bar operations is essential; barista experience is a plus.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in stock management and scheduling.
- Good communication skills to liaise with staff and customers professionally.
