FPV Drone Test & Setup Engineer
What we’re looking for
We are looking for a hands\-on FPV Drone Builder \& Flight Test Specialist to support our engineering team with flight testing, tuning, prototype setup, and test infrastructure. You will be a core part of our R\&D process – configuring flight controllers, tuning Betaflight/PID gains, and ensuring stable, repeatable flight performance in a fast\-moving defense tech environment.
Strong hands\-on FPV experience is non\-negotiable. EU citizenship or eligibility for EU security clearance is required.
The day\-to\-day
- Assemble, configure, and fly FPV drones and prototypes
- Tune flight performance and PID gains in Betaflight
- Bind and calibrate RC transmitters, receivers, and video links
- Define and improve test procedures, checklists, and documentation
- Build and maintain test setups, fixtures, and supporting test devices
- Report test results, learnings, and improvement ideas directly to the R\&D team
- Support component sourcing and prototype logistics
You should apply if you
- Have strong hands\-on FPV experience – building, flying, tuning, and repairing
- Are comfortable working in Betaflight or similar software
- Have a good feel for flight behaviour and practical debugging
- Work in a structured, tidy, and reliable way
- Give clear, honest feedback when something doesn't work
- Are available full\-time and on\-site
- Hold EU citizenship or are eligible for EU security clearance
Nice to haves
- Basic coding or scripting experience
- Background in defense, security, or operational drone environments
