FP&A Manager (Interim Contract)

Our large, complex business services client is seeking an experienced interim FP&A Manager to join the business on a short-term basis to provide cover during a sabbatical period within the finance team. The successful candidate will benefit from an initial handover period with the current Head of FP&A before taking full ownership of the function through to September.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone comfortable operating within a multi-entity group environment and taking full accountability for management reporting, P&L oversight, and finance team management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and review multiple entity P&Ls across the group


• Oversee and challenge management accountant outputs against budget and performance expectations


• Manage and support a team of Management Accountants alongside an outsourced finance function


• Take ownership of board pack preparation and senior management reporting


• Provide commercial challenge and financial insight across the business


• Ensure accuracy and consistency of reporting across the group


• Support short-term forecasting activity where capacity allows


• Act as the key FP&A lead reporting directly into senior leadership during the sabbatical period

• Qualified Accountant preferred (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)


• Proven experience operating at Head of FP&A, FP&A Manager, or similar senior commercial finance level


• Strong experience within multi-entity/group structures


• Comfortable managing finance teams and reviewing management accounts in detail


• Experience working with outsourced or offshore finance teams would be highly beneficial


• Previous recruitment sector experience would be advantageous, though not essential
