FP&A Assistant Accountant

Your new role
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Produce variance analysis (actuals vs budget/forecast)
- Maintain and enhance financial models and spreadsheets
- Support cash flow forecasting and reporting
- Assist with month-end and year-end processes
- Contribute to KPI reporting and performance analysis
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Support improvements in reporting processes and financial controls
- Collaborate with departments to gather financial insights
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and business projects
We are looking for a candidate with strong Excel capabilities (including pivot tables and advanced formulas), excellent numerical and analytical skills, and a high level of attention to detail. You should be well-organised, able to manage your time effectively, and comfortable communicating with a range of stakeholders. Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is essential, along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Ideally, you will be studying towards ACCA or CIMA (or be qualified by experience) and have exposure to tools such as Power BI or other reporting systems. We're looking for someone who demonstrates strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, commercial awareness, and professionalism, with a collaborative and adaptable approach to their work.
