Founding Full Stack Engineer Local AI Infrastructure

Lokalaise builds local AI infrastructure for companies that cannot move sensitive knowledge into cloud AI systems.

We deploy AI inside customer\-controlled environments and connect it to file servers, SharePoint, Outlook, project folders, technical documents and internal knowledge bases. Our stack combines local inference, secure connectors, permission\-aware retrieval, citations and audit trails.

We are a small founder\-led team in Hamburg with live customer deployments. As a Founding Full Stack Engineer, you will work directly with the founders and help turn early deployments into a repeatable product. This is an office\-first, hands\-on role for someone who wants to build core product and infrastructure from the ground up.

Tasks
---------

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable AI infrastructure solutions that integrate seamlessly with customer\-controlled environments.


• Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver innovative features that address real customer problems.


• Implement secure data connectors and permission\-aware retrieval systems to ensure compliance with audit and data protection standards.


• Optimize local inference processes and implement open\-source models to enhance AI performance within customer ecosystems.


• Participate in code reviews, provide technical guidance, and contribute to building a culture of learning and innovation within the engineering team.

Requirements
----------------

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.


• Proven experience in full stack development, with proficiency in both front\-end and back\-end technologies.


• Experience with deploying and maintaining AI models in local environments, including familiarity with open\-source AI frameworks and libraries.


• Strong understanding of data security and privacy best practices, particularly in relation to handling sensitive information within enterprise environments.


• Excellent problem\-solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling technical challenges in a fast\-paced startup environment.
