Forklift / Van driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift / Van Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and delivery vans to transport goods within our warehouse and to various delivery points. This role requires a professional driver with excellent organisational skills. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on timely deliveries and efficient warehouse operations. Start time of 630 AM.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklift trucks to move goods within the warehouse, ensuring proper stacking and storage.


• Drive delivery vans to transport products to clients and other designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.


• Load and unload goods efficiently, ensuring accuracy in delivery documentation.


• Assist with inventory management by organising stock and maintaining accurate records of deliveries and pickups.


• Conduct routine safety checks on equipment before use and report any faults or issues promptly.


• Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery schedules or any delays.


• Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and equipment, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or forklift operator, ideally within a warehouse or logistics environment.


• Valid driver licence.


• Experience with commercial driving, including safe handling of heavy loads.


• Strong driving skills with knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations.


• Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks, including loading and unloading goods manually when necessary.


• Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients.


• Organised with the ability to manage time efficiently under tight schedules.


• Good organisational skills for maintaining accurate records of deliveries and inventory. This role is integral to our operations, requiring professionalism, safety consciousness, and strong organisational abilities from the successful applicant.

Pay: £14\.00\-£14\.50 per hour
