Forklift Reach Truck Driver

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Reach Truck Driver to join our warehouse team working only on SATURDAYS and SUNDAYS. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating reach trucks to handle materials, load and unload goods, and support warehouse operations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast\-paced environment. Prior warehouse experience and familiarity with warehouse management systems are highly desirable. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills within logistics and materials handling.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate reach trucks to move, load, and unload goods within the warehouse


• Assist with materials handling, ensuring accurate placement and retrieval of stock


• Use warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records


• Perform basic equipment repairs or troubleshooting as needed to maintain operational efficiency


• Support shipping and receiving processes by preparing goods for dispatch or receipt


• Conduct routine inspections of the reach truck to ensure safety standards are maintained


• Assist in organising stock storage areas for optimal space utilisation


• Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets and deadlines

Qualifications

• Valid forklift licence with experience operating reach trucks


• Previous warehouse experience is preferred, including familiarity with warehouse management systems


• Mechanical knowledge or basic equipment repair skills are advantageous


• Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently


• Good organisational skills with attention to detail


• Basic mathematical skills for inventory counting and record keeping


• Strong understanding of materials handling procedures, shipping, and receiving processes


• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy environment
