Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative - Day shift

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Forklift Driver to join our Warehouse team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse, contributing to the overall success of our logistics and supply chain processes. Your Experience

We are seeking a committed and positive individual, ideally with previous experience working within a Warehouse environment. Experience within a FMCG/food manufacturing would be a positive.

You will possess a positive ‘can\-do’ attitude, have excellent problem\-solving skills and be well organised.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate Forklifts: Safely operate forklifts to move materials around the warehouse.


• Load and Unload: Load and unload products from trucks, pallets, and other transport vehicles.


• Stock movement: Stack and store materials in designated areas and recording on computer system.


• Pallet Breakdown: Break down pallets and reorganise stock as required to support efficient warehouse operations.


• Order Preparation: Assist WH Supervisors with picking, making up orders, and preparing goods for dispatch.


• Inspect Equipment: Perform daily safety checks on forklifts and report any defects.


• Safety Compliance: Ensure loads are properly secured and balanced, and comply with company policies and legal guidelines.


• Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness of the forklift and surrounding areas of the warehouse.


• Quality Assurance: Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.


• Assist in Warehouse Operations: Help maintain a safe and orderly environment.

• Experience: Proven experience as a forklift operator.


• Certification: Valid certification to operate forklifts..


• Communication: Good communication skills to coordinate with other warehouse staff.

Alternate weekends

10 hours shift pattern

Rate of pay £14\.39 per hour
