Forklift Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Driver to join our warehouse team.( Daytime ) PM or night shifts available The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently to handle materials, assist with shipping and receiving, and support overall warehouse operations. This role requires a proactive individual with strong mechanical knowledge and experience in warehouse management systems. Duties

• Operate forklift trucks to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse


• Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and handling of goods


• Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records


• Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform minor repairs or report maintenance needs


• Handle materials carefully, ensuring safe stacking and storage according to safety standards


• Support with inventory counts and organise stock in designated areas


• Perform basic maths calculations for weight, measurements, and inventory adjustments


• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations


• Assist with general warehouse duties as required, including loading/unloading lorries

Experience

• Proven experience operating forklift trucks in a warehouse or logistics setting


• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is highly desirable


• Mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and troubleshooting is advantageous


• Experience in materials handling, shipping \& receiving, and inventory management


• Strong organisational skills with the ability to perform basic maths accurately


• Physical capability for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or moving around the warehouse


• Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
