Foreman – Modular Recycling Unit Installation

Overview

We are currently recruiting an experienced Foreman to oversee the installation and retrofitting of modular recycling units at supermarket locations across the UK. This is a site-based, hands-on leadership role involving nationwide travel and working away during the week.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, while leading a team of labourers and installers.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating on-site teams during the installation of modular recycling units


• Managing day-to-day site operations across multiple retail locations


• Overseeing the construction and setup of external structures located in front of supermarket premises


• Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health and safety regulations


• Conducting site briefings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments


• Liaising with project managers, clients, and site stakeholders


• Monitoring progress to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope


• Organising materials, plant, and labour to maintain productivity on-site


• Maintaining site records, reports, and compliance documentation

Essential:

• Valid and in-date CSCS card


• Proven experience in a Foreman, Supervisor, or Team Leader role within construction or modular builds


• Strong knowledge of site health & safety practices


• Ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams effectively


• Willingness to travel and work away during the week


• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• SMSTS qualification (highly desirable)


• Experience with modular construction or retail site installations

• Minimum of 40 hours per week


• Regular overtime may be available based on project requirements


• Competitive hourly rate: £18 - 20 per hour (depending on experience)


• Travel and accommodation provided when working away (if applicable)

• Work will take place at various supermarket locations across the UK


• This is a physically active and outdoor role, working in varying weather conditions
