About the role

Balfour Beatty is looking for an experienced Foreman – Overhead Lines (OHL) to support increasing demand across our Power Transmission \& Distribution projects.

This role will see you leading site\-based OHL operations, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of high voltage overhead power transmission works across multiple locations uk wide

What you'll be doing

• Lead a small team of 4–6 OHL Technicians, ensuring safe and effective delivery of works


• Supervise day\-to\-day site activities including installation, maintenance and refurbishment of overhead power lines


• Plan and allocate work, ensuring teams are briefed on tasks, risks and safety precautions


• Drive high standards of health, safety, quality and productivity at all times


• Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings and ensure compliance with safe systems of work


• Liaise with Site Engineers, other Foremen and project teams to coordinate activities and maintain progress


• Ensure materials, plant and equipment are available and used efficiently


• Report and support investigation of any incidents or near misses


• Act as a competent person, interpreting permits, RAMS and ensuring safe working practices

• Proven experience working within Overhead Lines (OHL) or the power transmission sector


• Strong supervisory or foreman experience leading small teams


• Ability to work safely in high\-pressure, site\-based environments


• Good communication and leadership skills


• Full UK driving licence


• Flexibility to travel and work across England \& Wales

• OHL authorisations and plant tickets


• First Aid certification


• Strong knowledge of power transmission construction activities
