We are looking for you to join our team in the Equipment \& Footwear Design Department at our headquarters in Idstein as a Footwear Designer (f/m/d) as soon as possible. Our company headquarters will relocate to Eschborn in summer 2026, and your primary workplace will move to Eschborn from that time onward.
Your role in the Wolfpack:
- Design innovative, consumer\-focused footwear products aligned with the brand vision, category strategy and commercial objectives
- Translate performance requirements, market insights and outdoor lifestyle trends into compelling and technically sound footwear concepts
- Conduct ongoing research on outdoor, sport, lifestyle and fashion trends, as well as competitor activities, materials and innovations
- Visualize design ideas through mood boards, sketches and digital or physical mock\-ups
- Collaborate closely with Product Management and Development to ensure all products meet the defined briefs and expectations
- Partner with developers and suppliers to maintain design intent from concept through to commercialization
- Work together with Apparel and Equipment teams to ensure a cohesive head\-to\-toe outdoor brand expression, including colour direction
- Present seasonal concepts and product solutions to internal stakeholders
- Create detailed, production\-ready tech packs for Development teams
- Review prototypes and samples, providing clear feedback to meet design, performance, quality, fit and cost targets
- Maintain and update seasonal product data within the product data management system (Centric)
- Ensure all projects are delivered in line with seasonal timelines and key milestones
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of footwear design processes, tools and ways of working
What you bring:
- Degree in industrial design, footwear design or product design
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a footwear designer within the outdoor or sports industry
- Strong understanding of footwear construction, materials and manufacturing processes
- Good knowledge of the outdoor and sporting goods market, including consumer expectations and product trends
- Awareness of global markets, cultural differences and regional consumer needs
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work in cross\-functional and international teams
- Structured and independent way of working
- Creative, curious and solution\-oriented mindset
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop); Vizcom is a plus
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Fluent in English; Chinese is a plus
- Passion for outdoor culture, sports and an active lifestyle
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
