Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 1:30pm
£12.71 per hour
Temporary role with ongoing opportunities

We are currently recruiting for a Food Service Assistant to join a lovely school in Chorley. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a friendly and supportive team within a busy school kitchen.

The role will involve assisting the Cook with the preparation and serving of meals, helping to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and supporting the kitchen team during busy lunch service periods.

Duties Include: • Assisting with food preparation

• Serving meals to pupils


• Washing up and cleaning kitchen equipment


• Maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen environment


• Following food safety and hygiene procedures


• Supporting the kitchen team during busy periods


• General kitchen and catering duties as required

We're Looking For: • Previous experience in catering, hospitality, food service or a kitchen environment would be advantageous

• A reliable and positive attitude


• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment


• A team player who is happy to get involved wherever needed

Important Information: As an agency, we are committed to ensuring all staff working within educational settings meet the required compliance standards. Successful candidates will be required to complete:

• Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene Training


• Food Allergen Awareness (Natasha's Law) Training


• Safeguarding Awareness Training

An Enhanced DBS will be required for this position. If you do not currently hold one, this can be arranged as part of the recruitment process.
