FOOD CORNER MANAGER / ASSISTANT MANAGER

Department: Operations
Reports To: Owners / Operations Director

Position Summary

BAAN CANTEEN is seeking an experienced and energetic Food Corner Manager to oversee the daily operations of the food corner. The Manager will ensure excellent customer service, smooth team coordination, operational efficiency, and strong food quality standards while creating a positive and dynamic atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the food corner and ensure smooth service

  • Supervise and motivate the front\-of\-house and kitchen teams

  • Ensure high standards of customer service and guest satisfaction

  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and hygiene standards

  • Organize staff schedules and manage team attendance

  • Train new employees and support staff development

  • Monitor stock levels, orders, and supplier coordination

  • Control operational costs and minimize waste

  • Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally

  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations

  • Support marketing initiatives and promotional activities

  • Prepare daily and weekly operational reports

Requirements
  • Previous experience in restaurant or food service management

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast\-paced environment

  • Excellent organizational and problem\-solving abilities

  • Good communication and customer service skills

  • Flexible schedule including weekends and evenings

  • English required; Portuguese is a plus

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Asian or casual dining concepts

  • Knowledge of inventory and cost control

  • Passion for hospitality and team development
