We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Food and Beverage Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hotel. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production, culinary arts, and management, with a passion for delivering exceptional service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team in a vibrant environment, ensuring high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction. Previous restaurant, kitchen, function or hospitality experience is essential, along with proven supervisory skills. A comprehensive understanding of food preparation, serving, and management principles is required to succeed in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of food and beverage operations, including kitchen activities, service delivery, and customer experience

  • Supervise and motivate staff members to ensure efficient workflow and high\-quality service standards

  • Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency, presentation, and adherence to recipes and safety regulations

  • Be adaptable to either run the restaurant or functions, whichever area requires you the most.

  • Maintain compliance with food safety standards and health regulations at all times

  • Develop staff schedules, organise training sessions, and monitor performance to foster a professional team environment

  • Work closely with all heads of departments to make everyone work to the same goal

  • Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of all food service areas

  • Handle customer enquiries or complaints promptly to uphold excellent service standards

  • Implement new menu items or promotional initiatives in line with organisational goals

  • Work closely with the bar team to create new menus and specials
Skills
  • Extensive experience in food production, cooking, serving, and food preparation within a restaurant or hospitality setting

  • Proven management and supervising experience in a busy culinary environment

  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop team members

  • In\-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure

  • Familiarity with culinary techniques and kitchen operations

  • Experience working as a barista or in bar service is advantageous

  • Experience in running functions and weddings is essential

  • Exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and customers

  • Passion for hospitality coupled with a professional approach to management
