Food and Beverage Manager
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Food and Beverage Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hotel. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production, culinary arts, and management, with a passion for delivering exceptional service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team in a vibrant environment, ensuring high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction. Previous restaurant, kitchen, function or hospitality experience is essential, along with proven supervisory skills. A comprehensive understanding of food preparation, serving, and management principles is required to succeed in this position.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of food and beverage operations, including kitchen activities, service delivery, and customer experience
- Supervise and motivate staff members to ensure efficient workflow and high\-quality service standards
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency, presentation, and adherence to recipes and safety regulations
- Be adaptable to either run the restaurant or functions, whichever area requires you the most.
- Maintain compliance with food safety standards and health regulations at all times
- Develop staff schedules, organise training sessions, and monitor performance to foster a professional team environment
- Work closely with all heads of departments to make everyone work to the same goal
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of all food service areas
- Handle customer enquiries or complaints promptly to uphold excellent service standards
- Implement new menu items or promotional initiatives in line with organisational goals
- Work closely with the bar team to create new menus and specials
- Extensive experience in food production, cooking, serving, and food preparation within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Proven management and supervising experience in a busy culinary environment
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- In\-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
- Familiarity with culinary techniques and kitchen operations
- Experience working as a barista or in bar service is advantageous
- Experience in running functions and weddings is essential
- Exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and customers
- Passion for hospitality coupled with a professional approach to management
Pay: £30,000\.00\-£40,000\.00 per year
