We are seeking an experienced and visionary Technical Team Manager to lead and build our team in Luxembourg.
In this pivotal leadership role, you will build and guide a high\-performing technical team responsible for the testing and certification of critical building materials and systems that impact safety and resilience worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership \& Management: Guide and inspire your team, ensuring effective examination, testing, and certification processes. Uphold technical integrity in all team activities.
- Technical Oversight: Conduct thorough technical reviews of project work, ensuring adherence to certification standards.
- Operational Excellence: Monitor daily activities to ensure projects are on schedule, within budget, and technically sound.
- Customer Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with FM Approvals' customers, delivering exceptional service and technical expertise.
- Strategic Planning: Set business objectives, develop action plans, and contribute to budget processes, driving team success and operational efficiency.
- Talent Development: Recruit, mentor, and develop new staff, fostering a motivated and technically proficient team.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering ( Mechanical, Fire Protection, Chemical, Civil, or related field), Master’s degree preferred.
- 10\+ years of relevant experience, including:
+ Demonstrated experience leading, managing, hiring, training, and building high\-performing technical teams
+ Expertise in Product certification, Standards \& Codes, quality systems, product testing, and/or technical compliance programs
- Strong knowledge of industrial and commercial products across the full lifecycle (from development through end\-of\-life), with a focus on global safety and regulatory requirements
- Strong organizational and time/project management skills
- Proven client\-facing and customer service capabilities
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast\-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, problem\-solving, presentation, coaching, and mentoring abilities
- Solid business acumen
