Job Opportunity
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading and supervising the care team during your shift, acting as first point of contact and escalating
- Setting the tone for the shift — modelling the energy, warmth, and professionalism you expect from the team
- Delivering and overseeing high-quality personal care: washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support.
- Administering and recording medications in accordance with company policy and CQC standards (where
- Completing, reviewing, and updating care plans and risk assessments using our PCS care system, ensuring
- Spot-checking your team's documentation and coaching improvement — not just completing your own
- Supporting residents with nutrition and mealtimes — ensuring these are social, dignified occasions, not
- Mentoring junior care staff: conducting supervisions, supporting inductions, and identifying development
- Building positive professional relationships with residents, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Championing person-centred care — knowing your residents as individuals, not as tasks on a rota.
- Supporting residents receiving end-of-life care with clinical competence and deep human compassion.
- Contributing to audits, quality improvement, and CQC compliance activities.

COMPLIANCE & STANDARDS
- Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and all company policies.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain resident confidentiality (Care Act 2014 / GDPR).
- Comply with CQC Single Assessment Framework standards, infection control guidelines, and medication
- Complete all mandatory training and continuous professional development as required.
- Report safeguarding concerns, incidents, or changes in resident health promptly and per company procedure.
Essential Skills
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a care setting, ideally nursing or residential.
- NVQ / QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Adults) — or actively working towards it.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and hold a team accountable during a shift.
- Medication administration competency (or willingness and eligibility to complete training).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills; experience with digital care recording.
- Experience with or willingness to learn the PCS care system.
- A naturally sociable, engaged, and positive personality — you enjoy people and it shows.
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and shift patterns.
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the DBS Update Service.
- Right to work in the UK.Previous experience in a care or support role, ideally within a residential setting
