The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Fleet Operations Manager to oversee the operational delivery, coordination, and performance of our mobile and relocatable healthcare fleet across the UK.
This is a hands\-on operational role responsible for fleet deployment, logistics coordination, maintenance scheduling, site readiness, transportation planning, and installation activities.
The successful candidate will work closely with operational, engineering, and clinical teams to ensure high levels of service delivery, compliance, and operational readiness.
National travel and participation in an on\-call rota are required.
Key ResponsibilitiesFleet Operations \& Logistics
- Coordinate daily logistics operations for mobile healthcare units
- Manage fleet deployment schedules and transportation activities
- Coordinate servicing, maintenance, repairs, and operational readiness
- Support contingency planning and operational disruption management
- Ensure compliance with healthcare transport regulations and governance standards
- Conduct site surveys and operational readiness assessments
- Coordinate unit delivery, installation, relocation, and decommissioning
- Complete operational inspections, audits, and handover documentation
- Liaise with third\-party contractors and installation providers
- Coordinate Field Maintenance Technicians and external service providers
- Manage inventory, consumables, and operational equipment readiness
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and fleet logs
- Collaborate with operational, clinical, and administrative teams
- Act as the primary operational contact for logistics\-related matters
- Build strong working relationships with suppliers, OEMs, customers, and healthcare organisations
- Produce KPI reports relating to fleet utilisation, maintenance activity, and operational performance
- Escalate operational risks and service disruptions appropriately
- Support compliance with ISO 9001, QMS, IMS, and Health \& Safety standards
- Conduct operational audits and compliance inspections
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes and operational efficiency
- Experience within logistics, fleet operations, healthcare operations, engineering coordination, or service delivery environments
- Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
- Experience coordinating maintenance, operational deployment, and logistics activities
- Excellent communication and problem\-solving abilities
- Strong IT and reporting skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel nationally
- Experience supporting mobile healthcare or diagnostic imaging services
- Knowledge of medical equipment logistics
- IOSH or equivalent Health \& Safety qualification
- Experience using fleet or logistics management systems
- Efficient delivery of fleet and logistics operations across all operational sites
- High fleet utilisation and operational readiness
- Minimal downtime through effective maintenance coordination
- Strong compliance with healthcare transport and Health \& Safety regulations
- Continuous improvement in operational efficiency and cost management
