Fire & Security System Installation Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fire \& Security System Installation Engineer to join our small dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, and maintaining fire and security systems across various sites.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilise a range of technical skills, and contribute to the safety and security of our clients’ premises. The position requires a proactive approach, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A company van will be provided to assist you with your duties along with plant, a fuel card and a company credit card exclusively for company expenses.
The role requires a degree of flexibility and may involve occasional travel with overnight travel.

Responsibilities
- Plan fire and security system installations in accordance with client specifications and safety standards.
- Install, test, and commission fire alarm, CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection systems on\-site.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely during installation processes.
- Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of installed systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate system installation within building projects.
- Document all work procedures accurately and maintain detailed records of installations and service activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations throughout all phases of installation.
- Proven experience in the installation of fire and security systems.
- Strong technical knowledge relevant to system installation and maintenance.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised electrical equipment safely.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical diagrams accurately.
- Electrical experience with a good understanding of wiring practices and electrical safety standards.
- Background in construction or related industries is advantageous.
- Excellent problem\-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- CSCS card/ECA Card, PASMA/IPAF or equivalent
