Fire Extinguisher Service Engineer

*Job Description*

Due to continued business growth, Catchpoint (UK) Ltd is seeking an experienced Portable Fire Extinguisher Engineer to join our team.
Based from home and reporting to the Regional Service Manager, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and occasional installation of portable fire extinguishers across the North of England.

*Key Responsibilities*

As a Fire Extinguisher Engineer, your duties will include:

• Carrying out corrective and preventative maintenance on a wide range of portable fire extinguishers


• Completing and issuing certification in accordance with relevant British Standards (BS 5306\)


• Undertaking occasional installation of portable fire extinguishers


• Communicating effectively with customers, service coordinators, and management


• Ensuring all administration and documentation is completed accurately and on time


• Maintaining strong customer relationships and delivering a consistently high level of service


• Ensuring full compliance with health and safety procedures at all times


• Maintaining your company vehicle and stock levels to meet operational and client requirements


• Attending site meetings when required.

To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

• Proven experience servicing and maintaining portable fire extinguishers


• A strong working knowledge of BS 5306


• Current BAFE, IFEDA, FETA, or FIA certification


• Excellent attention to detail with good commercial awareness


• A professional and presentable manner


• Strong organisational skills with a high standard of written and verbal communication


• A positive work ethic with a proactive, can‑do attitude


• A full UK driving licence

• Basic Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience)


• Contracted Hours: 37\.5 hours per week (overtime available)


• Hours of Work: 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday


• Travel: Paid, less 30 minutes each way


• Flexibility required to support business and client needs
