Occupational Profile

This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire and security systems across commercial and industrial environments, both indoors and outdoors. Engineers are expected to work independently, delivering efficient, compliant service in line with company standards and contributing to team performance targets, including potential participation in a call\-out rota.

Engineers must be capable of fully installing, servicing, and commissioning systems in accordance with British Standards, third\-party accreditation, and company requirements, ensuring all systems are safe, certified, and correctly documented using CRM systems upon completion.

Knowledge and Skills

Engineers apply technical knowledge and practical skills to support the operation, maintenance, and performance of fire and security systems. This includes understanding and applying industry legislation, standards, and best practices related to installation, inspection, testing, commissioning, fault diagnosis, and certification.

A Level 3 qualification or equivalent industry experience is preferred. Engineers must also be able to organise their work environment effectively while complying with current health \& safety regulations, environmental requirements, and relevant British Standards and Codes of Practice.

Engineers are expected to work reliably with minimal supervision, take ownership of their work, and communicate effectively using verbal, written, and digital methods. They should collaborate professionally with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders, while maintaining ethical standards and contributing to sustainable practices.
