Due to continued growth, we are seeking an ambitious and motivated Fire Alarm \& Life Safety Sales Executive to join our team.

Working Arrangement

The successful candidate will initially work remotely from home, allowing flexibility whilst supporting our continued expansion. Once our new Rotherham office premises are operational, the role will transition to a hybrid or office\-based position as required.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional to develop new business opportunities and build long\-term client relationships within the fire and life safety sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new enquiries, managing existing client accounts, and securing service, maintenance, and installation contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities across commercial, industrial, housing, healthcare, and education sectors.

  • Promote ESS life safety solutions and maintenance services.

  • Build and maintain relationships with contractors, facilities managers, housing associations, consultants, and end users.

  • Attend client meetings, networking events, and site surveys where required.

  • Prepare and present quotations and proposals.

  • Follow up tender submissions and quotations.

  • Maintain and update CRM records.

  • Achieve agreed sales targets and KPIs.

  • Represent ESS professionally within the industry.
Candidate RequirementsEssential
  • Previous sales experience within the fire alarm, electrical, security, or life safety industry.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Strong customer relationship management abilities.

  • Self\-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

  • Full UK Driving Licence.

  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Desirable
  • Knowledge of BS5839 Fire Alarm Systems.

  • Experience selling maintenance contracts.

  • Existing contacts within the construction, housing, facilities management, or life safety sectors.

  • Experience with manufacturers such as Advanced, Apollo, Kentec, Hochiki, C\-TEC, or Morley.

Commission \& Bonus Structure

In addition to the competitive hourly rate, the successful candidate will benefit from an attractive uncapped commission package designed to reward performance and business growth.

Commission Structure:

  • 4% of Gross Profit achieved on all secured installation and project works.

  • 8% of the First Year's Contract Value on all new maintenance and service contracts successfully secured.

  • No cap on earnings, providing significant potential for high performers.
This commission structure has been designed to attract experienced fire alarm and life safety sales professionals while remaining commercially sustainable for long\-term growth. The role offers excellent earning potential for individuals who can develop client relationships, secure new business opportunities, and expand recurring maintenance revenue streams.

Additional performance\-related bonuses may be considered based on annual sales targets and business development achievements.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday

  • 08:00 – 17:00

  • Flexible working arrangements available.
