Fire Alarm & Electrical Engineer
Role Overview
We are looking for are recruiting for a Fire Alarm \& Electrical Engineer. Reporting to the regional service manager, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repairs to fire alarm and emergency lighting systems throughout the North\-West. To carry out the duties as an Electrician in accordance with Statutory Regulations, Company policies and Procedures. To assist the Team in producing a quality product meeting the requirements of the contract and in a safe manner. Adhere to all requirements set whilst following policies and strategies. To carry out repairs and maintenance to various types of Fire Alarm Systems across the portfolio. job role responsibilities will also involve carrying out service and maintenance on other fire safety systems such as emergency lighting, AOV systems, BS5839\-6 systems and dor guards/door retaining systems but not limited too.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting emergency lighting maintenance and repairs to comply with industry standards (BS5266\)
- Conducting fire alarm maintenance, servicing and repairs to comply with industry standards (BS5839 and SP203\-1\).
- Completing necessary remedial works highlighted during inspections, which may involve working unsociable hours to accommodate the need of our retail clientele.
- Providing certification of all maintenance and remedial works completed to comply with the relevant BS standard
- Effectively communicating with customers, service coordinators and management.
- Liaising with suppliers and head office to ensure vehicle stock is maintained to achieve a satisfactory first\-time fix rate.
- Ensure all administrative requirements are fulfilled and maintained accurately.
- Identifying potential opportunities where customers could benefit from additional works or services.
- Ensuring compliance with all health and safety procedures.
- Maintaining customer relationships and ensure a high level of service is offered at all times
- Minimum experience of 3 years in Fire Alarm Engineering sector
- Demonstrate safe working practices and extensive knowledge of testing equipment.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of Electrical and Wiring regulations.
- Knowledge of fire alarm and / or security system installation techniques, equipment, and tools.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and standards.
- Excellent problem\-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Minimum level 2 electrical installation qualification or equivalent.

- BS7671 18th edtion
- Other electrical quals
- Fire alarm modules 1 \- 5 (FIA or other)
- Minimum Level 2 trained Fire Engineer
- Experience commissioning advanced fire systems
- Knowledge of VESDA systems
- BAFE extinguisher qualification
- Gent or Protec training
- Knowledge of VESDA systems
