The Role
We are seeking a Finance \& Benefits Manager to play a pivotal role in the financial oversight of strategic change initiatives across the Group. This is a high\-profile role within Group FP\&A, with exposure to senior leadership and enterprise\-wide transformation programmes. You will take ownership of benefits tracking, financial governance, and performance insight across a portfolio of initiatives, ensuring delivery is robust, transparent, and aligned to agreed value targets. The role requires a commercially minded finance professional who can combine strong analytical capability with the confidence to challenge, influence, and partner with senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Oversight \& Benefits Governance:
- Own benefits tracking, validation and reporting
- Monitor performance vs targets, identifying risks and opportunities
- Enhance controls, processes and methodologies
- Partner senior stakeholders and initiative owners
- Challenge business cases and benefit assumptions
- Support senior forums with financial insight
- Deliver portfolio performance reporting
- Prepare exec\-level materials
- Provide forward\-looking insights
- Oversee financial data reconciliation and integrity
- Ensure consistency across systems
- Improve reporting tools and processes
- Drive process improvements
- Act as SME in benefits tracking
- Support capability development
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Experience in FP\&A or transformation finance
- Strong analytical and data skills
- Stakeholder management experience
- Strong communication skills
- Insurance experience
- Portfolio tools (e.g. Wave)
- Transformation programme exposure
