Financial Controller

Reporting into the Finance Director of this acquisitive and forward-thinking business, your duties will include the following:

• Providing leadership on financial control matters within the UK group and support across the wider international group


• Leading and managing a team of 8, including overheads, reporting, purchase ledger, payroll


• Budgeting and cash flow forecasting


• Preparing UK management accounts and financial information for a wide range of stakeholders


• Consolidating international group accounts


• Acting as a Business Partner during new acquisition exercises


• Working with board member on various projects


• Liaising with staff across all office locations to ensure operational control and best practice


• Working with the finance team to ensure an efficient external audit


• Providing sound financial support to maximise commercial performance


• Implement new IT system

This role will evolve as the business continues to grow, which will result in providing further opportunity for you to develop and progress in the future.

The person:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)


• Experience working in multi-entity and multi-currency environment


• Highly motivated and dynamic in character


• Tenacious personality with the ability to influence other stakeholders


• Good Excel skills and previous systems upgrade/implementation exposure


• Strong technical accounting skills, with a particular emphasis on lease accounting


• Open to occasional travel within the UK
