Financial Controller

Midland Batteries is one of Ireland’s fastest growing solar PV wholesalers. We supply solar panels, batteries, inverters, mounting systems and electrical products nationwide to installers and end users.

We are now looking for a Financial Controller to take ownership of the finance side of the business as we continue scaling rapidly.

This is a hands\-on role suited to someone practical, organised and commercially aware — not someone who just wants to sit producing reports all day.

Responsibilities

• Manage day\-to\-day finance operations


• Cashflow forecasting and working capital management


• Credit control and debtor management


• Supplier payment scheduling


• VAT returns and compliance


• Monthly management accounts


• Bank reconciliations


• Oversee invoicing and accounts processes


• Work directly with management on growth planning and stock purchasing


• Improve systems and financial processes as the company scales

• Previous experience in a Financial Controller / Senior Accounts role


• Strong understanding of cashflow and commercial finance


• Experience with Sage Accounting preferred


• Strong organisational skills


• Ability to work in a fast\-moving environment


• Practical mindset and good communication skills
