Financial Controller

MERJE is seeking a highly skilled professional to join a leading insurance company as a Financial Controller/Finance Consultant on a part time basis (2 days a week). This technical role requires extensive financial expertise and offers an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established organisation in the insurance sector.

Salary: Up to £70k based on Full time equivalent (Pro Rata'ed for 2 days)

The Role

Key Responsibilities of the Financial Controller/Finance Consultant:

• Managing and overseeing all aspects of financial control and reporting activities


• Providing strategic financial consultancy to support business decision-making


• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and industry standards within the insurance sector


• Preparing detailed financial analysis and management reports for stakeholders


• Contributing to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures

Required knowledge and experience for the Financial Controller/Finance Consultant role:

• Proven experience in a Financial Controller/Finance Consultant capacity or similar senior finance role


• Strong technical knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance


• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)


• Experience within the insurance sector would be highly advantageous


• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to provide strategic financial guidance and insights
