This role offers more scope than a typical Financial Controller position.

It’s a senior finance leadership position in a private equity-backed, multi-site business that’s growing, evolving, and needs someone who genuinely enjoys owning the detail and shaping what comes next.

The role

You’ll lead financial control across, covering a sizeable multi-entity group structure.

Your focus will be on getting the fundamentals right, consistently and at pace, while helping the wider finance function scale sensibly as the business grows.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading statutory accounting and reporting across multiple legal entities.


• Owning the preparation, review and delivery of statutory accounts, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely completion.


• Acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors and tax advisors.


• Overseeing corporation tax and VAT processes across the group.


• Delivering high-quality monthly management accounts that stakeholders trust.


• Leading and developing teams across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Management Accounts.


• Improving processes, controls and systems with a clear focus on efficiency and scalability.

You’ll need to be comfortable in the detail, but also able to step back and see the bigger picture.

About you

You’re likely to be:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.


• Operating in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role.


• Highly comfortable with multi-entity statutory reporting and audit management.


• Technically strong, with solid experience applying FRS 102.


• Experienced in overseeing tax and VAT, working effectively with external advisors.


• A confident people leader who enjoys developing teams and improving how things work.
