As our Financial Controller, you’ll lead the day‑to‑day finance operations and ensure our financial reporting is accurate, timely and robust. You’ll bridge the gap between transactional finance and strategic insight, owning everything from month‑end close to internal controls, cashflow, and team development.

You’ll be the person who ensures our financial “story” is clear, compliant and ready to support the next phase of growth.

What you’ll be doing

Financial Reporting \& Month‑End

• Lead month‑end and year‑end close


• Produce management accounts, financial statements and KPI reporting


• Deliver clear variance analysis against budgets and forecasts

• Strengthen internal controls and safeguard company assets


• Oversee VAT, tax compliance and statutory reporting


• Manage the relationship with external auditors

• Support cashflow forecasting and liquidity planning


• Take a proactive lead on credit control and aged debt


• Oversee AP/AR and working capital management

• Review and improve reporting tools and processes


• Drive efficiency and accuracy across the finance function

• Manage and mentor the Management Accountant


• Build a high‑performing, organised and accountable finance team

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)


• Strong technical accounting knowledge


• 5\+ years’ progressive finance experience


• Advanced Excel and confident with financial systems


• A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset — someone who gets things done


• Able to influence and communicate clearly with non‑finance teams


• Happy to roll up your sleeves — no task too big or too small
