Financial Controller (Remote)

Distinct is supporting a growing business to recruit an Interim Financial Controller.

This is a varied and commercially focused role, suited to someone who enjoys operating across both the detail and the bigger picture. You will take ownership of finance, helping to strengthen processes.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Ownership of month-end and year-end close activities across group entities


• Preparation of consolidated management accounts


• Oversight of prepayments, accruals, and expense controls


• Full balance sheet ownership, including reconciliations and financial integrity


• Managing intercompany accounting and group reporting requirements


• Cashflow forecasting


• Supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles


• Reviewing and improving finance processes and controls


• Driving efficiencies through systems and automation improvements

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified


• Previous experience operating at Head of Finance or Financial Controller level


• Strong technical accounting and reporting capability


• Experience working in a fast-paced SME environment


• Hands-on approach with the ability to quickly add value


• Strong communication skills


• Experience working across multi-entity or international operations would be beneficial
