Financial Accountant

Glasgow City Centre | Part-time

Full-time equivalent salary: £50,000 – £58,000

Reed Finance is working with a well-established organisation based in Glasgow City Centre to recruit a Financial Accountant on a part-time basis (3 days per week). This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant looking for a flexible role with real breadth and exposure.

This role offers the chance to take ownership of financial operations across multiple subsidiary entities, supporting both financial reporting and strategic decision-making. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and play a key role in ensuring the delivery of accurate, compliant and insightful financial information.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close processes across multiple subsidiaries, including journals and reconciliations


• Produce and manage budgets and forecasts, working closely with senior stakeholders


• Take ownership of statutory year-end financial statements and act as the key contact for external auditors


• Attend and contribute to subsidiary board meetings, providing financial insight and guidance


• Manage intercompany reconciliations and support group consolidation processes


• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements, including Companies House filings


• Maintain strong financial controls and support continuous improvement of processes

About You

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with relevant post qualification experience


• Strong track record in statutory accounts and financial statements preparation


• Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of UK reporting standards


• Confident communicator, able to engage and influence both finance and non-finance stakeholders


• Advanced Excel skills and comfortable working with financial systems
