Financial Accountant

The Opportunity
We’re recruiting for a Financial Accountant, for a 9 month opportunity, to join a highly regarded External Reporting & Accounting team, taking on a technical accounting role with a strong corporation tax focus.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys working at the technical end of finance, with exposure to group reporting, IFRS, and continuous improvement initiatives.

About the role
You’ll act as a key technical specialist within the team, supporting both corporation tax accounting (IAS 12) and broader group reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting corporation tax accounting and reporting across the Group


• Preparing and enhancing tax computations, journals, and disclosures


• Contributing to the Annual Report & Accounts and statutory reporting


• Providing technical expertise on IFRS accounting and complex judgements


• Supporting audit processes and stakeholder engagement


• Driving improvements in controls, processes, and automation


• Ensuring strong compliance with the organisation’s tax risk framework

About You
We’re looking for a technically strong accountant with the ability to operate in a complex, controlled environment.

You will have:

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification


• Strong experience in corporation tax accounting (IAS 12)


• A solid grounding in technical accounting and financial controls


• Experience working with audits and complex accounting issues


• The ability to communicate technical topics clearly to stakeholders
