We are currently seeking an organised, detail\-oriented, and proactive Finance Team Member (Accounts Payable) to join our Finance team in Artane, Dublin 5\. This is a fully office\-based role, Monday to Friday, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to develop their career within a busy and successful organisation.

As a Finance Team Member, you will play a key role in supporting the day\-to\-day financial operations of the business. Working closely with internal departments, insurance companies, suppliers, and sub\-brokers, you will help ensure accurate financial processing, timely payments, effective reconciliation of accounts, and compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

This role is essential in maintaining the financial integrity of the business and ensuring efficient financial operations across the organisation.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail\-focused Finance Team Member to support the daily financial operations of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for accounts payable activities, account reconciliations, banking administration, payment processing, financial reporting, and providing support to colleagues across the organisation.

The role requires excellent attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a busy environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile insurance company statements and investigate discrepancies.

  • Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.

  • Complete daily cash posting and allocation activities.

  • Process and manage card payments.

  • Handle cheque requisitions and issue payments as required.

  • Issue receipts and maintain accurate financial records.

  • Update bank balances and manage online banking activities across AIB, BOI, and PTSB platforms.

  • Set up bank transfers and beneficiaries as required.

  • Complete lodgements and maintain supporting records.

  • Produce monthly and year\-end financial reports.

  • Manage automatic reconciliations and resolve any outstanding issues.

  • Deal with Premium Credit finance queries and transactions.

  • Process sub\-broker statements and payments.

  • Investigate and resolve account queries in a timely manner.

  • Communicate with internal staff, insurance companies, sub\-brokers, and suppliers regarding financial matters.

  • Monitor finance inboxes and respond to queries promptly.

  • Adhere to all company procedures, financial controls, and regulatory requirements.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance Department.
About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a Finance, Accounts Payable, Accounts Assistant, or similar finance role.

  • Strong numerical, reconciliation, and analytical skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong organisational and time\-management skills.

  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.

  • Excellent communication and relationship\-building skills.

  • A proactive and problem\-solving approach to work.

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • A commitment to delivering high standards of customer service.
Skills \& Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Finance, Accounts Payable, or related finance role preferred.

  • Experience reconciling accounts and processing payments.

  • Experience working with online banking systems.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

  • Experience using finance systems such as Applied Finance, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting software.

  • Understanding of financial controls and regulatory compliance requirements.

  • Experience working within the insurance or financial services sector is desirable.
Working Hours
  • Full\-time, Permanent Position.

  • Monday to Friday.

  • Flexitime available.

  • Office\-based role located in Artane, Dublin 5\.
Pay: €27,000\.00\-€30,000\.00 per year
