Finance Officer - Lewisham

Finance Officer Full-Time | 5 Days per Week | Lewisham

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Officer to join a welcoming and supportive school based in Lewisham.

We are looking for a highly organised and knowledgeable finance professional with previous experience working within a finance environment, ideally within a school or education setting. A degree or relevant financial qualification is preferred, alongside strong knowledge of financial processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities • Supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the school

• Processing invoices, payments, purchase orders and financial transactions


• Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting reconciliations


• Assisting with budgets, monitoring expenditure and financial reporting


• Liaising with suppliers, staff and external stakeholders


• Ensuring financial procedures and relevant policies are followed


• Providing general administrative support to the finance function

About You • Previous experience in a Finance Officer or similar finance role

• Strong knowledge of financial processes and procedures


• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills


• Confident working with financial systems and spreadsheets


• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team


• A degree or relevant financial qualification is desirable
