Finance Manager

South Essex | Up to £50,000 | Full Time

Reed Finance are exclusively supporting a growing and well-established Essex-based business, who is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to take ownership of its finance function and support the senior leadership team with accurate reporting, commercial insight and financial control.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in an SME environment, wants genuine autonomy, and is keen to play a key role in improving processes and supporting business growth.

The Role

Reporting into senior leadership, you'll be responsible for:

• Producing monthly management accounts and financial reporting.


• Managing cash flow, forecasting and budgeting.


• Overseeing ledgers, reconciliations, payments and credit control.


• Providing commercial analysis and margin reporting to support decision making.


• Overseeing payroll and year-end processes.


• Improving systems, controls and finance processes.


• Supporting and developing a small finance team.

About You

You'll ideally have:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)


• Previous experience in a Management Accountant/Finance Manager or similar role.


• Strong management accounting and reporting experience.


• Experience working within an SME environment.


• Excellent Excel and systems skills.


• The confidence to work closely with operational stakeholders and senior management.
