Finance Manager

The Role
The Finance Manager will oversee the day\-to\-day financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls and efficient financial administration across the organisation.
Working closely with the Finance Director, CEO and departmental budget holders, you will support budgeting, forecasting, payroll, reporting and production finance, while supervising the Finance Assistant and helping to continuously improve finance processes and systems.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Operations
- Manage day\-to\-day finance operations
- Maintain accurate accounting records within Sage Intacct
- Oversee purchase and sales ledger processes
- Review supplier payments and payment runs
- Oversee company credit cards and expense claims
- Monitor cash flow and short\-term forecasting
- Support seasonal operational activity and production\-related finance processes
- Prepare monthly management accounts
- Produce variance analysis and departmental reporting
- Support annual budgets, forecasts and reforecasts
- Monitor production budgets and departmental spend
- Maintain chart of accounts and reporting structures
- Support monthly financial reporting and analysis
- Work with budget holders to provide financial insight and support
- Manage seasonal payroll processes with outsourced providers
- Prepare VAT workings and support VAT submissions
- Support PAYE and tax compliance processes
- Assist with foreign entertainer payments where required
- Support audit preparation and year\-end processes
- Maintain finance procedures and supporting documentation
- Support continuous improvement of finance systems and processes
- Strengthen financial controls and reconciliations
- Ensure finance procedures remain documented and up to date
- Support Sage Intacct administration and reporting improvements
- Supervise and support the Finance Assistant
- Allocate and review finance administration tasks
- Work closely with development, production and operations teams
- Support seasonal teams including bar and front of house operations
- Assist the Finance Director with management reporting and operational finance support
- Experience producing management accounts
- Strong bookkeeping and reconciliation skills
- Budget monitoring and forecasting experience
- Strong Excel and accounting systems experience
- High attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Part\-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
- Charity or arts sector experience
- Payroll and VAT experience
- Experience supervising staff
- Sage Intacct experience
