As a Finance Manager, you'll oversee financial operations and ensure the smooth running of the accounting and finance department. Your role will involve managing budgets, preparing financial reports, and supporting business decisions with accurate financial insights.

Description

The Finance Managers responsibilities include:

• Build the budget for the coming financial year and report actual performance against it


• Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.


• Provide detailed analysis to support decision-making processes.


• Manage the monthly payroll process, liaising with the external accountants who run payroll.


• Monitor cash flow and forecast financial performance.


• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.


• Own and maintain accurate, reliable financial records in Xero


• Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies.


• Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors and banks.

A successful Finance Manager should have:

• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.


• Proven experience running a finance function in an SME, ideally sole-charge or close to it


• AAT qualified, part-qualified or qualified ACCA / CIMA, or qualified by experience


• Experience in managing budgets and financial reporting.


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Effective communication and leadership abilities.


• Proficiency in financial software and tools e.g., Xero.
