Purpose of the Role
To work with other members of finance team and company employees to provide accurate, timely information to the Group Finance Director, for onward submission to the Board of Directors.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for end to end bookkeeping, accounting and reporting for the company.
- Review and processing of both PIs is currently part of the role but looking to go paperless in this area.
- Managing the sales ledger function including reconciliations and collections.
- Managing the purchase ledger function including reconciliations and payment runs.
- Preparation and investigation of various reconciliations as required.
- Posting of bank statements and completion of bank reconciliations.
- Preparation of draft quarterly VAT returns.
- Completing Draft Management Information on a monthly basis and providing support to the Group Finance Director as and when Ad\-Hoc financial information is required.
- Update and maintain the company’s fixed asset register including review systems to ensure they are as efficient as possible including looking at new vehicles.
- Completing the year\-end pack for the auditors as required.
- Reporting on debtors and creditors on a weekly basis.
- Reviewing reports for accuracy and tracing errors back to their source.
- In keeping with accepted principles of good working practice, you may be required to undertake additional or alternative duties.
- Role would suit a qualified, part qualified or QBE candidate.
- Attention to detail and “critical eye” for accuracy.
- Excellent communication, on all types of media, i.e., email and telephone.
- Organisation skills and an ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.
- A hands\-on, flexible and adaptable approach.
- Exercise sound judgment and discretion across their work and interactions.
- Working knowledge of SAGE Line 50 is preferable.
- The company is looking to introduce new paperless processes and experience in this area would be beneficial.
- Full working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Strong/advanced Ms Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables and IF statements) preferable.

Job Type: Full\-time
Pay: £35,000\.00\-£40,000\.00 per year
