Finance Manager
Job Summary
InkTec are a leading manufacturer of JETRIX UV flatbed printers, inkjet ink and media for the print sector. Based in Witney, West Oxfordshire, we are looking for a driven, hands\-on Finance Manager to take real ownership of our finance function and help it keep pace with a growing business.
This is a hands\-on role at the heart of the business — you'll manage all aspects of the finance function alongside our Finance Officer, taking real accountability for expenditure, stock and cash flow rather than just reporting on them, and playing an active part in shaping where the business goes next.
What You'll Be Doing
Financial Reporting \& Month End
- Deliver the month end management accounts and financial reporting pack within the set timeframe
- Analyse business performance, make financial recommendations and contribute to the monthly management meeting
- Hold overall responsibility for external auditing
- Support the MD with forecasting, annual budgets and financial analysis of sales and product profit
- Research and cost new business ventures, and contribute to wider business objectives and strategy
- Implement KPIs and streamline systems and processes across the finance department
- Own budget vs. actual expenditure monitoring, spend controls and approval limits
- Actively manage the company's cash flow position, banking relationships, aged debt and credit control
- Take ownership of stock holding levels and valuation, minimising working capital tied up in inventory
- Manage monthly payroll, P11D and other statutory HMRC submissions
- Submit quarterly VAT returns, Netherlands EC/VAT reporting and customs clearance documentation
- Line\-manage and develop our Finance Officer
- Day\-to\-day office administration tasks linked to the role
- Relevant accountancy qualification, degree, or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Proven experience in a similar finance management role, ideally 5 years minimum
- Confident Sage and Excel user
- A track record owning budgets, cash flow or stock — not just reporting on them
- Experience managing or overseeing payroll and statutory reporting is desirable
- Sharp, organised, and a confident decision maker
- A flexible, can\-do attitude and the ability to build trust with stakeholders at every level
You'll play a key role in a growing, close\-knit business, with real ownership over how our finance function runs and develops. If you're a driven finance professional who enjoys getting hands\-on with the numbers behind the business, we'd love to hear from you.
